REALLY slick, Josh! I've been playing with OpenCPN on my Pi3 and this
clarified some questions I had. Planning on using a similar setup as a
backup on my Pearson, but with NMEA2K and Signal K interfacing. In other
words, something to play with while at anchor. lol

Late last year, I purchased an eS78 with the basic vector charts in
anticipation of my "big boat" refit.
Now that it's time to think about installing it, we realized we'd rather
have the 9" display. I thought I'd give you folks first shot before it goes

Fred, we're starting to get serious about a new electronics suite for our
bluewater boat and since she already has a solid Raymarine autopilot
(SPX-30 core), I'm going to stick with
