Another thought is a horn or cam cleat aft of the clutches. J boats all have cam cleats. Our Frers has a horn cleat. On windy days our main and jib halyards will slip if this is not used. On the C&C 115 we would lose 2 feet of hoist on main if we did not tie off the halyard somehow. Mike Pe
