David — if it’s a ram-based (not wheel-based) system, you’ll need more than
just the control head; you’ll also need the course computer to drive the ram,
along with a heading sensor of some sort.

Paul — there’s not enough technical detail on the Raymarine website yet to know
exactly what they have for connectors on them. With the exception of the extra
wire on SeaTalkNG for backward compatibility with SeaTalk1, NMEA2000 and STNG
are functionally equivalent.
