My response to Chuck got scrubbed again.. I need to stop trying to send

Diesel with a 2;1 transmission?
I have a 11.5 x 8 Gori 2 blade folding on a 1:1 Atomic 4,
and it is slightly "over prop'd".
The math for the pitch part of it is straightforward.

Assuming an efficiency of 85% and a shaft RPM of 900

Hi Dave,
I actually had the opportunity to play with both versions. In addition to
higher resolution, the version 2 has a much faster processor and supports
the pinch to zoom functionality. There are also a few nuances in the
interface where it is more menu / swiping driven and less button int
Thanks! I appreciate the heads up.

Hi Steven,
I looked around as well. As far as I can tell the SailSteer and Sail Time
functions are unique to the B&G mode., I just looked-over the Simrad NSS7
Instruction manual (Here:
http://www.simrad-yachting.com/Root/User%20Guides/NSS_OM_EN_988-10102-002_w.pdf
) And there's no wind r
Steve — Navico acquired all of those brands (B&G, Simrad and Lowrance) a few
years back, so they share much of the same hardware. Lowrance is the low-cost
brand of the range; much of their gear plays well with the other brands.
Simrad is the “cruiser” stuff, B&G the “racer” stuff, and Navico d
âNot sure if this helps, but Flexofold recommended 2 blade 15 x 9 for my 26.I ended up putting on a 2 blade 13 x 11 because I don't have enough clearance between shaft and hull. Drives the boat to hull speed.
I have the Flex. I think it is a 14.5 x 10, but I'll look tomorrow. It is a
block away. I assume Yanmar 2QM15? I liked the workmanship on the Flex better
than the Gori. But - years ago.

I took a look at the B&G units at Defender, and in trying to get a handle on
overall price options, also at the wifi wireless module available from various
sources. I quickly learned that what appears to be the same physical hardware,
down to the part number, is sold for about 4 different brand

Hello Gary,
I too have a C&C 30 and am debating either a Gori or a FlexoFold. Do you
remember what size Flexofold you have, and can you comment if it seems the
right size. The recommendation Flexofold have made to me is 2-blade 15x11R.
Thanks,
Alan

I have been intrigued by this discussion as I don’t think much of the Lowrance
unit that came with my boat. Does anyone know the difference between the two
Zeus T7 models at Defender? One is on sale for $560 and the other is more than
$1000 and is a bit higher resolution screen. Dave

Hmm. I must have read the ABYC book wrong, because I put a huge breaker
close to the alternator. It is actually about 12 inches aw
Andy,
Joel is correct about the touch screen on the e7. When it works (which is most
of the time), it’s great, including the zooming and shrinking with two fingers.
But even normal daysailing in a good wind (not just sailing to Bermuda), my
fingers were wet enough that I could not get a good
That zeus sounds interesting. Would be nice to have the laylines. Are they set
at 45 dgrees? Can you set them lower?

I tried to reply yesterday but somehow the list doesn't like the Notes

I've got a Zeus touch 7 version 2 and it's everything they say it is and
then some. In addition to navigation it's the integration point for all
electronics on the boat.
