The problem is that in the old hole, there is 5200 in place of balsa core. I
would have to remove the 5200 and replace with epoxy filling. I don’t know how
far 5200 goes until I actually start removing it. I don’t feel very good
about filling epoxy over 5200.

I race against the Third Wave regularly and we are docked two boats over from
it. It still sails to its rating and they have maintained the boat since Hal
passed away two years ago. Stephen is racing it as his homage to his father I
believe and runs it almost as much as they did when Hal was w
Why not install a battery combiner switch in place of the normal 3 position
switch. I seem to recall Nigel calder's book suggested this approach. I put one
on my 35-1 with great results serving a starting battery and a house bank of 2
deep cycle batteries.
