Remove the Binnacle guard leaving the floor mounts in place and drill holes through the cockpit floor for the wires. Keep insides of mounts clean so guard fits back in. I started with a small drill then over drilled in size and then filled with epoxy to seal any coring and then drilled the size for

To run wires through the guard would need changing the feet from single bolt style to the two bolt kind. The single bolt style has the bolt inside the tubing while the two bolt style places the bolts outside, so you can run wires up inside. Pricey but might be worth it if you want to hide the wi

Does your pedestal guard tube not have an aluminum casting with two bolts through the deck at the foot each side? If so. Loosen up the guard at the binnacle, lift it up and you should be able to drill holes through the cockpit sole in the hole in the castings. You can then route cables down the

The pedestal guard should run through the deck into the bilge. You can run a couple wires through each tube. If you are runnng NMEA 2000 devices it is a PIA but doable. The other option is to get waterproof clamps from Blue Seas or others and drill through the deck. Joel Sent from my iPad On Ma
