32bit install will work on Intel and AMD desktop CPUs except that you will
only have access to 4 GiB of addressable memory (this includes RAM and
memory mapped devices, so total available RAM will be less than 4 GiB).
There should be no reason to install a 32 bit version of Linux since the 64
bit
