You know...with all of these types of things coming out, it might be time for the exec to start looking at adding a project/community liason to its ranks. Maybe not as an elected postion or anything, but an ad hoc thing to help coordinate projects, a point of contact for outreach. The person

All very good points, but I think he was looking for a management tool that could be used...regardless if you are portable or not. I am just saying how I have used mine. I actually have a 16 GB stick that I use for a portable office & it has come in handy for doing real work on company owned gear
