For XenServer:
- the management server "proxies" commands to the VR by using a host
plugin. The host plugin communicates on a link local port to the VR/other
system vms.
For KVM

Lu - With the information provided it seems that the system vm template and
secondary storage have been configured correctly.
Let's circle back to the error in the logs then. Can you try and manually mount
the entire path (1.1.128.2:/data/template/tmpl/1/1) on the xenserver ?

Lu,
Can you paste the snippet of logs where you see the error? Can you please
elaborate on what you mean by secondary storage setup is not working.
In my knowledge, MS doesn't validate the secondary storage path and does very
basic tests while adding it. Typically I have seen the following issue
Hi
Thanks.
The problem was solved. The reason for the error is:
1. The iscsi was added before hand, in which appear it can not be added at
xencenter first, it need to be added from cloudstack ui.
2. the iscsi can not have CHAP enabled.

Anyone who's using CloudStack with MySQL, please see this _extremely_ dangerous
security vulnerability in MySQL, announced on Saturday:

Apologies for the late response. None of the virtual routers I have spun up
have ever been on the management network. I haven't dug into it too deeply but
from what I can gather based on the vNICs assigned the management server has

Dan, Citrix shipped a “Citrix CloudPlatform 3.0.3”. Based on the project now
being run as an Apache project and feedback from the community we (Citrix hat
on) did not ship a CloudStack 3.0.3. The community is working on 4.0.0 with
the needed license changes as discussed in previous threads.

Hi Kevin,
Thanks for reply. My CS installation is domain-based, i can't say how many
domains can be supported by TMOS 11.x, but on my side i checked TMOS 10.x
partition concept (access domain) was introduced there (can't say about exact
version), so even TMOS rollback will not help me. I'll be
Dan, when we did the original F5 support in 2010 we decided not to use the
domain concept. It didn't scale very well. IIRC there were at most 256
domains per device (mapping to 256 virtual networks in CloudStack terminology).
This would have underutilized the device. I would suggest investig
We'd need more logs, namely xensource.log and SMlog, from your XenServer.
My assumption is that since it's already attached to the pool in question,
it cant be re-added.
