The clamav packages for CentOS 7 in the EPEL repository don't seem to
produce a working config after installation.
Anyone have any tips/walkthroughs on getting the basics up and running
(whatever you consider the basics to be) on CentOS 7?

Yeah. I'm not sure I mind it being split, but there seems to be
inconsistencies, missing config files, wrong username, bad or no systemd
files etc

Thanks Dennis, I will probably take your approach until the RPMs in the
EPEL are usable.
It would be nice to have them functional out of the EPEL or just have them
removed all together. It certainly doesn't do that ClamAV project any
favors to leave it in its current state of packaging.
