Hello Hudri, Is it possible to capture the email and/or create a test scenario? This will help to get the issue resolved. Steve On Wed, Mar 11, 2015 at 4:12 PM, Hudri Wudri wrote: > Hello, > > I am using clamav in combination with clamsmtp and postfix. I used this > setup since two weeks with

What you can do is open a bugzilla ticket at bugzilla.clamav.net and attach it to the ticket. Steve On Wed, Mar 11, 2015 at 4:47 PM, Hudri Wudri wrote: > The user got the email in his inbox in outlook. How do i attach that mail > to the mailing list? > Am 11.03.2015 21:41 schrieb "Steven Morgan

I can't say for sure. However, we do test the scenario of the database reloading while clamd is scanning and have not seen a crash. On Wed, Mar 11, 2015 at 5:09 PM, Hudri Wudri wrote: > So you think this only happens if freshclam is updating at the same moment > when clamd is scanning the email?

[clamav-users] Freshclam failing

Freshclam keeps failing for me. I delete the Mirrors.dat file and try again. Sometime it works, sometimes it claims that all of the mirrors are not synchronised. This is the sort of thing I get running freshclam: $ sudo freshclam Password: ClamAV update process started at Thu Mar 12 09:56:45

OK, just deleted the Mirrors.dat file again and re-ran freshclam. This time it managed to download the cdiff files, but fails on safe browsing.cvd: $ sudo freshclam Password: ClamAV update process started at Thu Mar 12 10:07:04 2015 main.cvd is up to date (version: 55, sigs: 2424225, f-level: 60

I help ClamXav users (Macintosh) with such issues, and I would just add that there have been more problems with AU users regarding things like this than any other, dating back to at least 2007. There are only two mirrors for AU: db.au.clamav.net. 60 IN A 193.1.193.64 db.au.

Try using db.jp.clamav.net. Lots of mirrors and they're practically next door as under-sea cables go. nslookup db.jp.clamav.net Server: 127.0.0.1 Address:127.0.0.1#53 Non-authoritative answer: Name: db.jp.clamav.net Address: 27.96.54.66 Name: db.jp.clamav.net Address: 120.29

For people with their own DNS servers it is a fairly trivial thing to do to create a DNS-based load balanced round robin server list using all the servers from all world regions. Not unlike a BigIP in that regard, you check the response lag of a DNS query to all servers and you might as well mak
