"this is a bugfix release" announcement. Along comes the end of the
week, and SANS reports a vulnerability [1] in the previous version.
It's a lot easier to get linux distro folks to make new packages for
security releases. W

That's actually a complete rewrite which doesn't share much with the
previous codebase and which lacks a bunch of features previously
