Pleas help me how to upgrade clam av form 0.88 to 0.93.1.
I have removed the clamav by:-
rpm -e clam av -0.88 nodeps.
Now if I run :-
yum remove clamav*
Repository base is listed more than once in the configuration
Setting up Remove Process
Resolving Dependencies

You have problem with yum and repos ... I' have a FC4 working with clamav
0.93.1, compiled from source and works fine (I need to upgrade to 0.93.3)

Yesterday's yum update to the latest version of ClamAV on my
mailserver doesn't seem to be doing real great for me... clamd
is dying every now and again (I don't know that it's lasted more

0.93.2 had a pretty serious bug dealing with older definitions I believe.

Revert to 0.93.1 u
Revert to 0.93.1 until the current 0.93.3 is available to you.
or even better, build an RPM from source.
here's how I do it:
attached is a file called clamav.spec. save that into /usr/src/redhat/SPECS/
then put clamav-0.93.3.tar.gz into /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES/
build the rpms:
# rpmbuild -
looks like my attachment got clipped.
here is the SPEC file I use (with changelog snipped for brevity):
# $Id: clamav.spec 6047 2007-12-19 11:20:08Z dag $
# Authority: dag
# Upstream:
### FIXME: Sysv script does not have condrestart option (redo sysv script)
