Forcefully upgrading the Mail:ClamAV module seems to have fixed the
issue. I did this as per advice from Sarah of configserver.com.
/scripts/perlinstaller --force Mail::ClamAV
I have now switched back to clamavmodule in mailscanner.conf. Works fine now.
