Hi!
I always compiled without automake - only got a warning at the beginning of the
comiplation - and it worked without problem.
With the newse releases I have to use automake 1.6 (automake 1.7 is not working) -
with this it compiles flawless.

1) abram -- original file I have, this a returned mail from mailer-daemon
with infected mail inside.
2) Mail delivery failed_ returning message to sender.eml -- infected mail
which is inside (1).

What has changed (and which is critical) on current (20031026) development
version of freshclam? I'm running it on Debian (woody), otherwise
everything seems to be running fine except, that during virus database
update I get this error:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/usr/local/src/clamav-devel-20031026/datab
Under either clamav-devel-20031027 or clamav-0.60, using either
clamdscan or clamscan, if I scan an email containing a virus, the virus
is not seen, but the detatched exe, even zipped, is identified as a
virus. I've tried with ScanMail both enabled and disabled in
clamav.conf. Am I doing

Is this an OS related issue, or is it present in all ports. I don't seem to
be having this problem (Solaris 8), though with my luck

but now j can't update viruses database because
freshclam exit with segmentation fault:

That's right, there should be remote->sigs instead of current->sigs.
