Sorry, I forgot to say this is clamav-0.60 with the included clamav-milter.
The process looks like this:

I've got the problem the same problem on my server.
Clamd crashes due to timeout (after hours of use).
Is this patch correct the problem?
No more breakdown between clmilter and clamd..
