I had a problem with this due, I think, to my poor internet connection - don't
even consider using Satellite broadband. I amended the code in manager.c to
accept the md5 checksum in two parts instead of one. Could this be the cause
of the problem?

If you're not using NTL, and you may find it better to use the caching
facility of freshclam. Did you give the option "--enable-cache" when running
configure?

I am getting the following error when amavis is attempting to use clam. I
have tried changing permissions on CLAM.pm to 554 and still have the same
error. I am running the programs on Solaris 9 Sparc.
