Hi,
I am considering to use clamscan in a production mailserver and would
like
to ask, if anybody already does or if it´s recommended to do so, cause
the version number is still 0.53
I consider a system for 1000-2000 mailaccounts using qmail +
qmail-scanner + clamscan.
Has anyone experience wit

Whilst I always welcome Wash's grilling I sent a new version to Tomasz of the
mailbox code last night that probably isn't in thi
Hi,
is there an easy way to list which viruses will be found by clamav? I
know you can look in the virus.db, but I'm looking for something like:
clamscan --list
Worm/Klez.H
W32/Yaha.E
etc.
etc.

I'm trying to get 0.53 to compile on Solaris with Sun's compiler... and
I've run into some quirky gcc stuff in the code that the Sun C compiler
doesn't understand:
The first is the use of "__alignof__" in libclamav/md5.c:
*** md5.c_orig Wed Nov 13 11:17:24 2002
--- md5.c Wed Nov 13 11:22:4

By the way... I haven't tried the snapshot yet, but I did run accross
a problem with 0.53...
After doing "./configure --prefix=/opt/clam", "make install" would put
clamav.conf in /usr/local/etc instead of /opt/clam/etc. Maybe this is
fixed in the latest snapshots?

Today's snapshot (http://clamav.elektrapro.com/snapshot) contains the new
utility - clamdscan. It's a simple clamd client and it can be used as the
clamscan replacement for mail scanners. The advantage of clamdscan is
autodetection of the clamd's connection type. Please don't use it on the
product
Hello Users,
My question could seem a little bit vague, but I have a situation where
I am to blam or clamav (clamd) is to blame.
I use clamav (exiscan+clamd) on my Exim Server. I use the same kind of setup
on two MXes. On the primary MX, I also run Exim's system filters. The use
of exiscan+clamd
Hi,
had anyone got problems with a large number of files to scan?
When i use "clamscan -r /home" the scan seems to hang after a minute or two.
When i use clamd with command "SCAN /home" i get a timeout error at (i think) the same
file (but the current file itself is not displayed).

Problem with clamdscan/Makefile.in:
Needs "-lsocket -lnsl" on Solaris 2.X
Needs "-I../libclamav"
