shouldn't i see access denied errors if this is the case ?
i simply don't see anything logged in syslog or the .log file at all.
if i run a manual scan with clamdscan, no errors...
Change your clamav.conf file to run clamd as user qscand - also you need to
chown the directory where your daily vir
because nothing is logged in syslog and there are no X headers added to
the email that was supposed to have been virus scanned.

Your email shows no errors for CLAMAV, how do you know it's not working?
