You are running a very old version of clamav!!! I run the 20031026
snapshot on Solaris 8 and clamav-milter never died up to now. From time
to time clamd stops (maybe every 4 days) but I restart it with a cron
job.

Had the same problem at the beginning. Make sure that the libmilter library from
sendmail is installed. The ./configure program checks this and sys no if it is not!!!

I'm running clamd and the milter on Solaris 8 and have the same problem. Also the
version you mentioned crashes very often!!!
