FYI, for anyone else having trouble compiling GMP on Solaris 8 with
gcc 3.3.2 on Ultrasparc hardware, I needed these CFLAGS to make it work:
-m64 -Wa,-xarch=v9 -mc
hat is installed you have to recompile the freshclam binary.

Below is the output of freshclam while updating virus db. I am running
clamav on sparc solaris 8 machine. freshclam was doing fine for
previous version of clamav (0.60) the problem comes after updating to
version 0.65
