Are you using clamav-milter? If so, specify the "-n" option. It's
documented in the man page.
I think that takes care of the logs too, as I don't see them in mine.

I believe that the version information should include some info about
the virus database. Some version, timestamp or at least the number of
signatures.
It would be a good way to know how updated is the database. What do you
think?
