Hi,
I’m just trying out clamav for the first time. I executed these steps:
docker run -it ubuntu /bin/bash
apt update
apt-get -y install clamdscan
freshclam
All these seemed to work successfully. But I’m not finding all the clamav
components. For example, in /etc/clamav I only find these:
hello,
maybe you can try with clamsentinel ? It's a resident monitoring process
for clamwin under windows or you maybe use a proxy with HAVP between
your wamp and the people connecting to it.

By installing from the repositories you give yourself at the mercy of
repositories maintainers. These and similar questions should be
addressed to them.

I really appreciate your prompt response.
Hi Mich,
You should contact your package maintainers. You can also install ClamAV
from source. ./configure will attempt to locate pcre in the usual places.
You can also use ./configure --with-pcre=[pcre path] if that doesn't work.
Hope this helps,
Steve

When we install ClamAV in our Amazon Linux ElasticBeanstalk instance
with 'yum install clamav' it gets installed *without* PCRE support,
although the libraries are present in the instance.
Invoking clamscan on a file issues this warnings:
LibClamAV Warning: cli_loadldb: logical signature for Win.

It does not appear to be so in the Debian packaging. When I install
clamav, I don't have clamav-daemon installed. I have to manually do an
apt-get install clamav-daemon. It then installs an

I am installing clamav on Debian "Etch" and noticed that when it
resolves the dependencies for required packages, there appears to be a
missing file it does not install called "clamav-daemon" which sounds
very critical. When I download clamav, it does the following:

Yes, I am assuming so but by placing it into a directory with spaces
certainly did the trick for me.

So, I'm guessing it's problem with space on path ?

I'm new to RedHat Enterprise Edition, so forgive if this is a dumb
question.
Is there a location for rpms or srpms for ClamAV for RHee (3.0)?
For that matter, RH8 (my personal linux box)?
I *much* prefer to keep all my installs using RPM (mixing rpms and cvs
can create some real nasty problems)
