Currently, we think about use a cron job (in hour/min) to scan the milter
log and generate a "infected" mail to each of local recpt (although
if just want to send to a fix email address, you can try 'VirusEvent' at
clamd.conf
but still can't find a easy way to send a infected message to each local
recpt.

Just wonder, if use EPEL repository src rpm, why don't use the binary rpm
from repo directly?
BTW, some of servers of our clients also running FC3, which using the
source tar from clamav.net, seem work so far so good.

Dear all,
We found that at clamav 0.95.1, the virus mail will direct drop to user
mailbox when milter sock dead. At previous (0.94.2 - ), milter dead will
cause a send mail standard error (5.x.x or something like server not
available to sender) and then the mail rejected.
At /etc/clamav-milt
he milter message at maillog related to sendmail or clamav-milter?
Thank a lot.

Becasue just want milter to log message to file that specify at 'LogFile',
so set LogSyslog no to disable syslog logging. But found that milter still
log to the maillog file (at FC9) no matter the email is infected or clean
one.
Is it normail for clamav 0.95.1? Thank for helping

At clamav 0.94, it can config clamav-milter that send a "Virus Infected"
notify email to recipient when a virus scanned. But from 0.95.1, the milter
only had 'Blackhole' option that direct drop the virus email without any
user notification like 0.94. Is that had any option for milter at 0.95.1 to
A old machine that running RH 7.3, with sendmail 8.11, work fine till
clamav-0.94.2 as before.
Today tried to compile source clamav 0.95.1, with milter support but
cannot sucess. It shown warning

bytes.
the message gone away.
After check the init script at FC3 machine, it hadn't 'ulimit' setting.
Thank for helping.

if you used /etc/rc.d/init.d/clamav-milter to start the milter, at around
line 20, you can see
...
# Local clamav-milter config
CLAMAV_FLAGS=
test -f /etc/sysconfig/clamav-milter && . /etc/sysconfig/clamav-milter
...
so the milter config file should be "/etc/sysconfig/clamav-milter"
