Take the C out for starting unless you are jailing the
process. It should start fine.

I don't want to get off track and this certainly has.
I think it is important people don't spin their
wheels, with mis-information.
91 doesn't build with the current port tree on a 4.X
box. It was stripped of 4.X. It can not build.
Here is snapshot from the port Makefile for 91.1
Freebsd ver 1.1.
Updating your port tree won't help./
The ports have been changed to match current supported
releases, ie 6.2 and 5.5 I believe.
I confirmed .86 will compile on 4.8 Freebsd. Last
version that does.

It is a segmentation error and we are experiencing
this as well. It seems to be one particular
html/phishing message. It dies before any log or core
dump can be created. It runs fine until then.
I know Edwin is working on it and I'm pulling more
data. Also check you interface for RST resets and
li
Clamav since .88 will not compile or configure on
Freebsd 4.X unless the patch is applied to configure.
The pthread is incorrect and set for 6.X
The milter variables need to be set as well.
The patch is on another thread segmentation fault
.91/libmilter for 91.
Dave D has wrote patches for 9X con
even a core file generated. Clam is running and
scanning.
86 runs fine on the system even though outdated.
When reinstalling libclam* is rm'd.
What else may I send you?

The phishing engine is still having trouble under
heavy load, segmentation fault mi_stop.
The problem was not fixed in the latest svn as of
yesterday evening.
Clamav-Milter is running standalone
