Not sure if this has been reported yet, but while trying to compile on
RH9 (./configure --sysconfdir=/etc --enable-milter) the operation fails:
make[1]: *** No rule to make target `../docs/clamav-milter.8', needed by
`all-am'

Hello clamers,
I'm having some trouble getting my milter to work. When I tail my
messages file after starting Sendmail, I get the following error:
WARNING: Xclmilter: local socket name /var/run/clmilter.sock missing
If I enter:
service clamav-milter sta

| Use the --quiet option of clamav-milter.
Where? When I compile? In my init script?

I downloaded clamav .60 and compiled with the milter option for use with
sendmail on my redhat9 system. It worked for about a day and started to
refuse connections to the socket giving mailog errors like this:
