Hi List(s),
Amavis currently uses "/var/run/clamav/clamd" as its socket in @av_scanners.
The default, although commented socket in clamav is /tmp/clamd.socket
Especially to new users on new installations this may seem odd, and may
confuse users on to which default to change may be daunting.
Hi all,
I wrote a few weeks ago about clamav not playing nice with amavis-new.
Turns out, clamd keeps crashing due to PAX. Bug report
https://wwws.clamav.net/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=2092 lists the dirty.
Just and FYI :)
Thanks for everybody's help though!
___
; connection is still refused, the socket, and the path to the
socket are work accessible however.
Thanks for any pointers in the right direction.

o, as I mentioned, freshclam can't notify clamd either with the same
permission denied error so it's not really an amavisd or socket name
error, as freshclam uses the name from /etc/clamd.conf?
Thanks in advance for any pointers :)
