Check if you have a adherent whitespace in your configuration file.

the configuration file parser, until version 0.94.2, removed adherent
whitespaces from configuration pairs. The new parser, since version
0.95, doesn't remove them, so if you run as example, the clamd with the
configuration setting:
User filter
it calls getpwnam(filter) and not getpwnam
