well yes, I already hacked up a small patch against exiscan 4.10-16 for
clamd support (via tcp and heavily based on the OpenAV-code).

On production servers you should use clamscan, clamd is still very
experimental software

I have installed clamscan 0.51 under qmail-scanner 1.14. Everything
looks okay most of the time but sometimes I receive the following error

Please use --mbox option:
cat /var/lib/amavis/virusmails/somefile | clamscan --mbox -
This is the only way to find the virus in mbox files directly with
clamscan.

BugBear signature was created by us, not the OAV developers. You have
probably wrong test files.
