I get error message stating it could not
find the item location (com port). Tried several times on all four active
ports.
Checked "device manager" and the four ports are active and well
Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated

I will I’ll have to research as I have never selected a USB port. I just plug
it in to the USB on the computer

Just change where chirp is attempting to access the radio.
Unless there's a different reason to change the port number. In my
experience, changing the USB port that you're plugged into is the only way
to change the assignment.

Many radios (or is it just Baofeng) have issues with the connector into
the radio. Press it into the radio harder and see if that helps.

issue tracker.

FWIW, this evening I located my old RS92 CD and loaded the software to my Win
10 laptop. It works perfectly with the 92AD, so at least I do know for sure

I have downloaded CHIRP and used to program my radio but after uploading
data to my radio the channels are there but I have no sound when it picks

I can’t get my radio to link with my computer. I have the uv-5r and run Windows
7 on my computer. I keep get the message (An error has occurred could not open
port [Error 2] The system cannot find the file specified.) It like the Chirp
can’t see my radio.
