Yes you are in the right place. I can't help you with your question though,
but someone else will be along...

You have to unsubscribe and then subscribe back. I went from digest to
individual emails and that's what I had to do.

Joe,
Here is the list of supported radios:
https://chirp.danplanet.com/projects/chirp/wiki/Supported_Radios
FT70D is listed but not the DR. Maybe take a look to see the differences?
Probably the same or almost the same radio.
You will need a programming cable if your radio didn't come with one.
Robert,
Look into "Packet Ham Radio" K4ABT has a good beginners page. I'm not sure
if packet radio is still a thing? I haven't used it since the mid to late
90's

Hi Al,
There is a KG-UV6D listed under Wouxun.
Not sure if that helps or not.

Regarding the new AR-152 from Baofeng, check out Ringwaymanchester on
youtube. He has two videos already up about this model and teases he will
talk about how to program it too. His email is prominent on his page. He
does compare the AR-152 to the UV5R but goes on to say that he doubts the
same pro
According to the wiki: https://chirp.danplanet.com/projects/chirp/wiki/Home
Choose the Baofeng UV-5R as the model.
