not programmable...

telephone company for use in special signaling combinations.

There are 4 keys to the right of the traditional number pad, right of 3, 6, 9,
and #.
I think they are labeled A B C & D.
I don't know what they are for.

I think I understand now.
Apparently there's a way to program in a series of tones, like to open the
CTCSS on a repeater if you don't know the CTCSS frequency, or bring up an
autopatch.
Repeaters probably use these tones too for linking to an Internet hub for
example.
