Are you talking about baofengtech.com? I don't see it there as a UV-5R 8 watts
or UV-5R8W. Mine incidentally looks like the older models without the screw
heads on the face. More importantly, do you have any advice on how to program
it with software? A CHIRP model I can select that

I believe I have seen the table you are talking about. My model wasn't listed
on the page that I saw. Which makes me believe my model isn't supported, but
I've had at least three people tell me that they have my radio and used CHIRP.
Do you see something different?
