Does anyone have any experience with the BAOFENG UV-5R8W? I Just got one from
ABBREE through Amazon. Has anyone had success with any type of software for
programing? This is supposedly a three power model. I have tried a few models
on CHIRP

I will try that model. I may have already tried it. But you're saying that even
though Windows 10 says there is no problem with the cable, there still might be

You might also consider that you have a fake radio. I eventually
discovered that I have one. It works but the radio is not programmable
via Chirp.

I've a BAOFENG UV-5R8W and I can program It without only problem with
chirp. I'm using Xubuntu 18.04 and current daily CHIRP version.
