So a quick google leads me to believe this is a law enforcement frequency, so
I'll ask what is the service you hope to monitor? Where did you get that
listing? If we know what you hope to monitor, we may find an alternate source

Since 472 is not in one of the allowed HAM bands you may be able to listen
but are prohibited from transmitting with an amateur license.
Chirp will allow the frequency to be input but I have no clue about the
non-standard tone and type.
Sending it to the radio may be problematic as well.

Hi Ken
Thank you. I am a new radio user, trying to figure out how to program and scan
channels. I have programmed quite a few manually, and finally can see the
programming in Chirp. But I don’t see the Tuning Step column. The stock configs
show this column.
It’s a Baofeng BF-F8HP

Michael,
You really need to provide a bit more detail:
- what radio model?
- what version of Chirp - new or 'classic'?
- what are you trying to do?
- what have you tried that didn't work, etc?

I programed a lot of channels, but I still am not sure how to get this to scan
all the frequencies, or if I am m
MY paperwork shows to use the UV-HP8 for the uv-9r plus that I have, worked

Note what I sent you is a LIVE Ubuntu distribution, it will NOT write to
your hard drive it just runs from the USB, fix your handheld shutdown the
Linux system, remove the USB stick and reboot into Windows, and you're
finished with no changes to your Windows computer.

Hello all,
I've just received my new UV-9R PLUS and copied the channels from my old
UV-5R onto it.
That went actually very painless.
Now my question is: why are the channel names not shown on the UV-9R?
I am in channel mode and the channel names are shown on the chirp software.
What am I missing
