Dave, never mind. I have been using my Chirp cable in a USB 1.1 port and just
switched it to a USB 3.0 port. The data transfer times are the same. I tried it
on a Baofeng UV-82c with 37 frequencies programmed in it. No difference in time.

Dave, have you tried connecting the Chirp cable to a USB 3.0 port on Win10? 3.0
is a lot faster. Ignore this if you have already tried it :-)

Well ya'll, I finally got it working. Besides CHIRP, I had a couple of old
BF-888s Chinese programs that would normally change it to English, but these
would not, and I still don't know why. These radios definitely have a bug in
the software!
