Does anybody know if there is an option to increase the length of the
power-on message on Baofeng UV-5R? It shows up very shortly when
powering on the radio. It would be nice to have it for a couple of
seconds, the time to read what's shown.

BF-888S. I had/have one of those cheap BF-888S’s that absolutely refused to
work with chirp no matter what OS I used it what cable (FTDI, Prolific, CH340).
I tried every combination of MacOS, Win, Linux, Raspbian and cable. No go on
