According to the Q&A for this radio on Amazon, using Chirp with
model KT8900D is supposed to work. (Fonghoo posted this answer.)

I click on the BTech UV-5X3 as that is what the radio is. But, I still have the error message.
I am at a loss as how to get the CHIRP to work as it keeps showing the error.

I do click on the Btech UV-5X3 as that is the only one that shows up. And it is what the label states on the radio. I still have the problem and are trying to get the error cleared.

Please double-check the manufacturer and model number on the radio and selected
in chirp, BTech offers the UV-5x3, Baofeng offers the UV-5RX3 - they probably
are not interchangeable.
