The Baofeng UV-82 doesn't use "codeplugs" as it is an analog radio, also
CHIRP isn't for digital radios, just analog.
Michal are you using the incorrect terminology, or are you talking about a
different model which IS digital?

When I went to turn the radio back on, there was only a faint display
visible on the top line.
It looks like a series of black rectangles. Doesn't go beyond that, no
