Yes, the config for DMR is so fundamentally different from most of the
radios CHIRP supports that it would pretty much have to be completely
different software.

list of supported radios. It is my understanding that no DMR radios are
supported in Chirp because of their design. The Miklor site has info on
programming the DM
Want to purchase a DMR radio that is supported by CHIRP. All my machines
run OS X, so
most OEM programming apps will not work.
So I’m basically looking for CHIRP supported DMR handheld suggestions.

Yeasu doesn't support Chirp. They're a Windows supported product only and
that CHIRP could Damage the Radio's beyond Repair. I was also told that
they don't support Linux only Windows.Kinda of Sucks but that's what there
Policy is.
