It is menu 24 (SYNC). No CHIRP is required.

Dan,
It has been a couple years since I programmed the radio, but I think you
have to set up one for Memory rag and one for frequency.

Thanks for all the responses.
Where is the issue? Windows 10 driver? Parallels? CHIRP?
It's the same driver on the Mac in both cases.
The cables were always plugged into the same USB 2.0 physical port on a
Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) HUB that provides USB-C, USB 3.0, and USB 2.0 ports.

The speed of USB3.x has zero bearing on the speed of programming a radio
over a serial port. Even the first generation of USB (USB1.1) running
at 11Mbps is WAY faster technology than the serial port connecting to
the radio say at 38400 bps. That's 0.03Mbps. More likely, the reason
for seei
This is a known issue.

I had to move my mouse & keyboard back to 1.1, keyboard was acting crazy on 3.0.

Dave, never mind. I have been using my Chirp cable in a USB 1.1 port and just
switched it to a USB 3.0 port. The data transfer times are the same. I tried it
on a Baofeng UV-82c with 37 frequencies programmed in it. No difference in time.

Dave, have you tried connecting the Chirp cable to a USB 3.0 port on Win10? 3.0
is a lot faster. Ignore this if you have already tried it :-)

Interesting. When I run CHIRP directly on the Mac, the upload time is
about 4 times faster: 1 min 5 sec.
Must be something going on in CHIRP or Windows 10 or Parallels when I
run it that way. I usually do all radio programming in Windows 10, but
when CHIRP is the only way, maybe directly on t
