What is done in parallel and what not?
Also, is there a reference other than the source code where this process is
explained?

ceph-disk can prepare a disk a partition or a directory to be used as a device.
What are the implications and limits of using a directory?
Can it be used both for journal and storage?

I have changed the fsid of a ceph cluster by redeploying it with
ceph-ansible (the change was intentional, the cluster is new and empty).
After the change, I had to restart all the OSDs (with start ceph-osd id=x
on each node).
Now the cluster seems to work, but I have two issues:
1. The ID repor
