What about PXE booting the OSD's server ? I am considering doing these
sort of things as it doesn't seem that complicated.
A simple script could easily bring the osd back onine using some lvm
commands to bring the lvm back online and then some ceph-lvm activate
command to fire the osd's back up.

I am still in the works of preparing a deployment with iSCSI gateways
on Ubuntu, but both the latest LTS of ubuntu ships with kernel 4.15,
and i dont see support for iscsi.
What kernel are people using for this ?
- Mainline v4.16 of the ubuntu kernel team ?
- Kernel from Centos/Suse
So from my understanding, as of right now it is not possible to have an
iSCSI gw outside of RHEL ?

and by searching it looks like it was targeted for mimic, so i wanted
to know if anyone had any experiences with it, and if it is going to
be available in mimic and when.

only SSD OSDs, and I was wondering how should I size my cpu.
The cluster will only be used for block storage.
The OSDs will be Samsung PM863 (2Tb or 4Tb, this will be determined
when we will set the total volumetry
