I have followed the instructions on
http://ceph.com/docs/master/start/quick-rbd/ , "ceph-deploy install localhost"
finished without errors, but modprobe rbd returns "FATAL: Module rbd not
found.".
How to install the module?

It might be that your qemu-kvm version/build doesn't support lib{rados,rbd}.
Which Ganeti version are you using?

You'll need a newer kernel, try kernel-ml or -lt from elrepo:

It turned out there was a problem with userspace. If you grab the
latest ceph.git master, you should be able to use cache pools with
3.14-rc7, which is what I assume you are
