You can try offline compact osd
ceph-kvstore-tool bluestore-kv ${osd_path} compact
Then restart osd

I have been looking for documentation about single side ceph object gateway
configuration but I just found lots of multi-side documentation. Is it
possible to use ceph object gateway as a single side? Can anyone assist me
with the configuration, the url will be fine?

Singe side is a default RGW configuration
Just run your first RGW - all needed pools will be created - it's just works

to slow device
