Same here. Download'ed .tgz from libreoffice.org, unpacked and
installed the .rpm I wanted (help, languages, core stuff), integrated
to the GNOME desktop and works like a charm.

I'm just looking for two XFCE applets I'm missing: the weather and
xfapplet (the one to load GNOME applets). Couldn't find them in

I had no problem at all installing and using v4 and v5 of LibreOffice
in my CentOS6 (up-to-date). I used the official installers from LO
website (unpacked their archive, extracted all .rpm files into a
directory, then `yum install *.rpm`).

is it me or a recent glibc update in CentOS6 did break audio tagtool?
It now shows utf8 conversion errors and crashes. A rebuild from the
sources didn't help.
