Are you talking about the BIOS memory check? That
is not very thorough.
Try booting from the CD and typing linux memtest from
the boot prompt. It should take hours to run.

Hello:
I have a server running CentOS 4.4.
I just did a yum update and then rebooted the
server.
After the reboot, it stops after printing GRUB
on the screen.
Any ideas what happened?

When I go to lynx http://a.b.c.d on the linux machine,
I get the CentOS test page.
This looks like the connection is not forwarding, it
is just going to the local machine.

vulnerable, not just yours. I assume the hacker
would compromise more machines than just yours.
The hole will eventually be discovered and fixed.
