I'am running CentOS 5.1 on a Dual AMD Opteron QuadCore System, without
major issues so far.
But if I call mcelog I'am getting the message "Cannot open /dev/mcelog"
... because it's not there.
I'am running 2.6.18-53.1.4.el5xen kernel, is this related in any form? I

I'am using a LSI 1068e OEM version from Super Micro (see lspci). I was
able to install a plain CentOS5 with the binary drivers I got from Super
Micro.

is there a driver disk available for the LSI 1064e SAS controller,
operating in software raid mode? This Controler is installed on the
Intel SR1500ALSAS for example, and named here Intel Embedded Software
RAID II. I found drivers for RHEL4 and SUSE 10, but not for CentOS5?
