Hi Michelson, I have that problem also on one of my FW box. What i did is i
created a cronjob that reload the iptables rule. In this case you dont drop
any connections and you dont need to reboot your box. So far its working on
our production deployed FW.

I am not promoting this anti-virus. But i have same setup where in all our
WS are running on Windows but our centralized anti-virus machine is a Centos
4 box with F-secure(for linux). Have a look at it.. it does centralized
management of Anti-virus.
