Test 5 is the most stressfull for exercising memory. You can
select that to run continuously overnight.

difference, but if you have one, or have both but are different, it
might not result in what the user expects. (It's obviously an easy fix

BIOS battery recently (amongst other
things), and forgot to reset the BIOS date and time. When I
restarted the machine fsck had a wobbly turn, about the
filesystems not being checked since ~1970!
So every partition got checked for no real reason!

So I recommend Fedora as it's cutting edge, and I had no
major problems apart from not being able to print from Java

Can you identify any differences in the machines that don't
re-assign the dev files, and the machines that do?
